
Uniting Through Sport: GEMS UIS hosted the UAE CBSE Football Girls Cluster Under-17 Tournament
We are thrilled to share that GEMS United Indian School recently hosted the UAE CBSE Football Girls Cluster Under-17 Tournament, bringing together talented young athletes from across the UAE. The event was filled with energy, sportsmanship, and exceptional talent, making it a memorable experience for all!
Our school’s team put up an incredible fight, displaying outstanding teamwork, skill, and determination throughout the tournament. We are proud to announce that our team emerged as the First Runner-Up!
The tournament kicked off with an inspiring opening address by our Principal Mr. K. George Mathew, who emphasized the importance of sports in holistic development and character-building. He further encouraged students to embrace the spirit of healthy competition and teamwork. Twenty schools from across UAE came together to our campus, turning it into a vibrant center of excitement and energy. The atmosphere was charged with the thrill of competition as young athletes demonstrated their skills and team spirit. From lightning-fast goals to remarkable saves, each moment showcased the unifying power of sports and its ability to bring communities together. The event concluded with a heartfelt closing address by our Vice Principal Mr. Shaikh Murad Sarfraz, who commended the efforts of all teams and thanked the coaches and staff for their unwavering support.
A big congratulations to Credence High School, Dubai, for claiming the Champions trophy, and to New Indian Model School, Dubai, for achieving the Second Runner-Up spot.
Well done to all participants, winners and coaches for showing outstanding determination and true sportsmanship throughout the tournament!
