GEMS UIS Clinches GOLD at Greenovation Quest 2023

On October 18th, 2023, GEMS United Indian School enthusiastically engaged in the Greenovation Quest 2023, an inter-school competition which was held at St. Joseph’s School, Abu Dhabi. The event featured various activities to promote sustainability and raise awareness about preserving our planet, Mother Earth. The fest drew a diverse range of participants, fostering an atmosphere of enthusiasm and talent.

The "Junk Fiesta" team comprising of Afsheen Sheikh, Deborah Ciju, Naomi Elizabeth, Sajini Varadharajan, Sushmita Das and Srinika Uggam (Grades 7 and 8) clinched the top position with their outstanding Eco-Fairy outfit. The "Lights, Camera, Action" team comprising of Aarav Ajiv Nair, Adelyn Anu John, Arman Kini, Augadh Sivaprasad, Aydin Shebin, Sejal Patil, Umme Labiba Binte Jaher and Vrashank Negi (Grade 6) secured first place, showcasing their innovative and creative sustainability skit. Furthermore, Mirana Gabin Mathew (Grade 9) was awarded the “Best Rebuttal” prize in "The Pursuit of Dispute” event.

Throughout this remarkable journey, HPL Attributes like Imagination, Creative and Enterprising, and Open-Mindedness served as guiding principles. Overall, it was an eco-friendly adventure!
