Chitra Seshadri
Primary Supervisor
Chitra Seshadri has a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and a Bachelor's in Education. Her career in the field of teaching spans 17 years (14 years in GEMS and 7 years in India). She has acquired PD training in pedagogy series and leadership programs in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 respectively from GEMS TELLAL Training Institute. She joined GEMS as a teacher in English and went on to head the Department of English. She is a quick learner and a diehard educationist and her dedication to service has catapulted her to the position of an Academic Supervisor of the Primary Section. She was the recipient of ‘Best Teacher’ award for the year 2010-2011, ‘Gems Core Value Award’ for the year 2012-2013 and ‘Teacher of the Month’ award in 2015.
Ms. Chitra was also nominated for the prestigious ‘Mariamma Varkey Award’ in 2016. Over the years, Chitra has proved her versatility as a curriculum developer, resource provider, instructional specialist, mentor, panel member, PD champion and an organizer of school events. She is an effective communicator and a resourceful educator with proven ability to enhance students’ performance promising to shape a better world for students and empower them with knowledge and skills.
